The Commission received the final report from the Office of State Auditor on June 26, 2024. The full report may be accessed here. The report is the result of an annual audit of the Commission's internal financial activity. 
 Regulation 67-1602 has been amended to establish electronic payment systems as the default method of payment for temporary disability and reimbursement for expenses. The full advisory and text of the regulation may be accessed here. 
The Commission has issued an advisory notice regarding changes to a procedure code in the 2024 MSPM. The full advisory may be accessed here. 
 

Electronic Claims Reporting (EDI)

The S.C. Workers' Compensation Commission (SCWCC) has adopted the IAIABC Claims EDI Release 3.0 standard for the electronic transfer of First Report of Injury (FROI) and Subsequent Report of Injury (SROI) information. The IAIABC Implementation guide can be found on the IAIABC website, www.IAIABC.org. The full IAIABC EDI Claims Release 3 Implementation Guide is available online for IAIABC members or for purchase directly from the IAIABC.   

SCWCC Forms Replaced by EDI

SCWCC will focus on the electronic submission of FROI's in place of SCWCC Form 12A and SROI SA transactions replacing the paper Form 18. Electronic submissions of denial or payments forms, or other EDI Subsequent Reports of Injury (SROI) transactions besides the SA, are not currently available.

The following vendors have been approved by SCWCC to submit EDI Release 3 FROI transactions to SCWCC. Testing is waived for trading partners implementing Relese 3 through an SCWCC approved vendor.
